The project was a collaboration with David Ling Architect on the tabletop concept and styling design for the booth he designed for Diffa's "Dining By Design" show.
The concept revolved around the art of impermanence, the transient nature of life, the cycle and recycle of things. The idea was manifested in a picnic concept. We used paper plates, cups, bowls and bamboo utensils made from recycled materials. The beautiful paper dinnerware and bamboo utensils can be used and thrown away to be recycled again. A white birch branch was used as a surreal centerpiece – symbolizing wood charcoal typically burned for a picnic BBQ.
